About your scan
Our Early Reassurance Scan is available from 6 weeks gestation to 13 weeks gestation and is offered to provide additional reassurance in early pregnancy, prior to your routine NHS ultrasound appointments.
All scans are performed by a fully qualified, NHS-trained sonographer in a calm and private clinical environment.
Our scans are performed transabdominally (over the abdomen).
Appointment duration: 20 minutes
Confirmation and location of pregnancy
Establishment of the number of pregnancies present
Visualisation of fetal heartbeat(s), where appropriate for gestation
Estimation of gestational age and calculation of an estimated due date (EDD)
3 Printed black and white images
Digital access to all images and videos via a secure link and mobile application

How to prepare for your scan
1. If you are unsure of the first day of your last menstrual period, we recommend attending three weeks after a positive pregnancy test.
2. Please attend with a full bladder – drink approximately one pint of water one hour before your appointment
3. Please arrive 5 minutes early

· This scan does not replace your NHS hospital scan and is an enhanced experience to your NHS journey.
· This scan is non-diagnostic and is provided for reassurance only
· Scans are available from 16 years of ages, Clients under 18 must attend with a responsible adult
· No GP referral required.
