Babies don’t always cooperate!
If we are unable to obtain clear images due to baby’s position, placenta placement or reduced fluid, we will always do our best and offer guidance or a rescan policy where appropriate.
-
We welcome clients aged 16 and over. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent prior to your appointment and must accompany you on the day.
-
Our Early Pregnancy Scans are available from 6 weeks of pregnancy and are performed by an NHS-trained sonographer. Many parents choose an early scan for reassurance, confirmation of pregnancy location and dating purposes.
-
Our Gender Scans in Blackburn are available from 14 weeks of pregnancy. Gender determination is highly accurate, although visibility can occasionally be affected by baby's position.
-
A Reassurance Pregnancy Scan provides additional reassurance between routine NHS appointments. Parents often book these scans to see their baby, hear the heartbeat and enjoy peace of mind throughout pregnancy.
-
For the best images, we generally recommend attending between 26 and 32 weeks. During this stage, many babies have developed facial features that can be seen clearly during a 4D Baby Scan.
